EVE Mentat 1.1.6 Release

September 1st, 2010 Leave a comment Go to comments

EVE Mentat 1.1.6 (alpha) released!

The main change is fully redesigned market browser.  A lot of feedbacks from users were taken into account to improve browser usability. See the screenshot below.

The second important change: file import for character and corporate orders doesn’t clear inactive orders. So you can mix together imports from files and API.

Database is compatible with previous release (1.1.5), so it can be transferred to this version. Just overwrite Storage subfolder from EVE Mentat 1.1.5 into the same location for version 1.1.6.

Please read the release notes for more details.

Setup can be downloaded here.

This release is unstable and it is not recommended for everyday usage, just for testing.

    Currently when ever I try to read the cache it doesn’t see anything. My eve install is in the standard “C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE” I don’t see this as that popular of an issue so anything I could try to fix this? I tried the stable version as well, and also I always check the item on the market before I actually try to re-import (in the event it cleared the cache files last time I failed)

    I can fix this buy going to cache import settings and clicking reset. But I have to do this every time I want to import from cache.

    @Joshua
    So, you able to import first time, but during the next attempts new market data are treatet as old and only setting reset helps you. Am I right?

    Did you browse your ingame market with table or graph active/

    I browse the market normally but I cannot do cache import unless I go to the cache import settings and hit to reset button beside the last import time. I always have to do this now, before it worked no problem.

    @Joshua
    Ok, clear.
    Please, answer a few questions:

    What is locale at your OS?
    What is time format and time zone (GMT time)?
    Does EVE Mentat display correct server time?

    Be careful with fact that EVE Mentat calculates correct server time only after first request via API. Incorrect server time can cause problems.

    Please, give me as much as possible information on this issue to help fix it.

    @Thart
    My locale is English (Not entirely sure what you mean by locale lol)
    My time format is EST and it’s AM/PM and yes the display time for server time is correct. I’ve used this version before but it’s suddenly been acting up with cache import, I’ve done several API requests and they all check out

    @Thart
    Are you able to actually replicate this? Or just checking out what might be happening?

    @Joshua
    I haven’t reproduce it yet.
    We are discussing this with a cache tool developer. Later I’ll try to play with EST time zone.
