Manage Characters dialog can be opened in two ways:

1. Menu File/Manage characters…
2. Right click on the main character portrait or any portrait from the character lish and select Manage characters…  menu item.

Character management dialog looks like this:

Adding characters

Press Add… button to start new character wizard. You have to enter here Key ID and Verification code of your personal API key.

Note: Only personal  API key is needed at this stage. If you wish to obtain corporation related information you should enter additional corporate key. Use Edit character… button for this purpose.

Use Click here to obtain the key link to generate new API key for EVE Mentat. In opened web page enter your login and password and proceed to Create API key pag.

Note: Before entering your login and password ensure you are at eveonline.com.

Please specify the next fields at this page:

• Name – any text, something like “Key for EVE Mentat”
• Verification Code – automatically generated
• Character – select needed character
• Type – Character
• Access Mask – 23465993
• Expires – your choice

The next features should be selected for correct work:

• WalletTransactions
• WalletJournal
• MarketOrders
• AccountBalance
• CharacterInfo
• SkillQueue
• SkillInTraining
• CharacterSheet

Press Submit to finalize key creation and then copy newly created Key ID and Verification code into proper fields in the new character wizard.

Press Next button in the wizard and follow instructions.

Also you can use Add another… button to add another character from the same account. In this case you should not enter API key information again.

Changing character’s API keys

Edit character… button opens dialog where you can change personal and corporate API keys for the selected character.

Removing characters

Remove… button removes selected character. Operation cannot be undone.

Remove all… button removes all characters from the list.
