    The journal never seems to update for me, both the previous version and this version.

    Everything else updates as it should, what’s going on here?

    Where is your log file?

    Use direct path to cache instead of path to game client. It’s temporary workaround.

    Try to:
    1) Launch eve mentat from other location
    2) Ensure that EVE Mentat’s zip archive is not damaged (download again)
    3) Reinstall your .NET

    @Rouque @Melina
    As you can understand from the error description, it’s not an issue of EVE Mentat, it’s server side/connection errors.

    Getting ‘Error 532:Failed getting market order information.’ Funny thing is it’s pulling all of my characters other API info and corp orders as well with the corp API. Any solutions? Using an all access personal API as well.

    @kronnek
    According to this page it’s a server side issue.

    @Thart

    I’m dumb, at least that’s what my wife tells me. Is there some other action I should take like going to the forums or is just an error that is popping up for others? If I’m the only one then I’d like to get it fixed, any recommendations?

  19. Thart
    October 14th, 2011 at 12:26 | #19

    @kronnek
    1. Try regenerate your API key, carefully check access mask. Read this page.
    2. Try another characters/accounts.
    3. Try to google this problem.
    4. Check API manually on this page.

    well tried all suggestions thart… what worked? verified by that page that my key was responding properly. deleted the character in mentat and put in the same exact key info and corp info (had a print screen of old settings and it was the same i re-entered.)

    this was a fresh copy with no info in db so i believe mentat was sending out bad key info. thanks for the manual api page, pretty cool.

  22. kronnek
    October 25th, 2011 at 10:53 | #22

    No, still having the error but… I just import files instead of pull from character API now. The character API pull works once per day, maybe twice but, most of the time I get the same error. As I said, the file import works fine so it’s all good. :)

    ok, been able to connect, but can’t upload market data files after running the exports using IGB.

    i also tryed clearing cache, but still had same issue.

    yeah got it to work, was trying to import from character orders page, didn’t realize i had to import twice to get up-to-date info for all orders.

    on another note, i have noticed that the auto scan function doesn’t always save every market window viewed. had alot bother with it untill i started using import files from export buttons in eve.

    i tryed it with timer as high as 5 seconds.

    is there anyway to improve this ?

    December 9th, 2011 at 16:23 | #35

    i currently am station trading, with buy and sell orders. i have noticed that i don’t ever see any profit rates with eve mentat.

    my guess is because it only calculates when you buy item from sell orders, then relist them on sale.

    is there anyway to see profit rates for buying and item from buy orders then selling with sell orders ?

  36. Jamie
    December 9th, 2011 at 16:53 | #36

    @Jamie
    ok, is there any way to make set cost price and deviation update automatically when you update market orders ?

    At the moment i can go through each of mu 125 items and update them manually to get profit rates

  37. Thart
    December 9th, 2011 at 18:17 | #37

    @Jamie
    Planned.

    By the way, switch to transactions, filter only buy transactions, select all, right-click and then “Set multiple costs…”. Hope it helps.

  38. Jamie
    December 10th, 2011 at 01:26 | #38

    @Thart
    awsome, with this upgrade, will that mean that you can include a profits in the line graphs. cause thats about the only thing missiing i can see.

  39. Jamie
    December 10th, 2011 at 02:27 | #39

    @Jamie
    on another note, a tab in characters order page with the number of competitors within the last hour would be nice. you could also add graphs for each item showing the amount of competitors at certain times of the days, to give people and idea of how the market for each item is.

    As of today, it seems that EVE is not using a point (“.”) anymore for ammounts of isk cents but a coma (“,”). When I try to copy-paste the recommended price from Mentat to my orders, this fails. It looks like Mentat tries to paste a “.” into the EVE client even though in Mentat itself the ammounts are shown with comma’s.

    This effectively renders Mentat useless for fast order updating.

    API Key doesn’t work immediately after creation. You should wait approximately 5-15 min before.
